BIO / ESTHER MUNGER
I thought I would never leave my hometown, New York City. I sure did, and I've lived in amazing places—West Marin, the Santa Ynez Valley, the Monterey Peninsula, and The Sea Ranch. I am now grateful to call beautiful Sonoma Valley my home.
Exploring Thailand, Israel, Botswana, Canada, Italy, Spain, France, and many US states has endowed me with lifelong images. I am so grateful for those experiences and look forward to further travels.
Classes at Hunter College and UC Berkeley earned me an Art degree, which I used to teach and to share art with all ages.
My work has been exhibited in juried shows, studio tours, and galleries in Marin County, California’s North Coast, and the Santa Ynez Valley, earning awards from Marin MOCA, the O’Hanlon Center for the Arts, the Elverhoj Museum, and the Neumann Gallery. Today my pieces live in private collections in The Sea Ranch, Silicon Valley, Marin County, Berkeley, Santa Ynez Valley, Boulder, and Sugar Hill, New Hampshire.
